Ginataang Hipon with Kalabasa and Sitaw (Shrimp in Coconut Milk)

INGREDIENTS
- 1 kilo shrimp
- 1 head garlic (crushed)
- Coconut milk from 3 large coconuts (gata)
- 2 cups squash (peeled and cubed)
- 2 cups string beans (cut into 2 inch pieces)
- 6 kamias
- 2-3 small chili (siling labuyo)
- 1/4 cup fish sauce (patis)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
PROCEDURE
- In a pot, boil coconut milk over medium heat
- Add in garlic, squash and string beans. Boil for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender
- Add shrimps, kamias, siling labuyo, pepper and fish sauce.
- Boil for 10-15 minutes or until coconut thickens. Stir occasionally.
- Serve hot.
