Fried Chicken

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 kilo chicken (we prefer thigh and leg part)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon or calamansi juice
  • 2 tablespoons Knorr seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon iodized salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs 
  • flour 
  • Canola oil
PROCEDURE
  1. In a container, combine lemon or calamansi juice, Knorr seasoning, salt and pepper. 
  2. Add chicken and mix. 
  3. In a bowl, beat 1 egg and 1/4 cup buttermilk. Add in chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes. 
  4. After 30 minutes, dip chicken in mixture of 1 egg and 1/4 cup buttermilk again.
  5. Coat in flour
  6. Deep fry for 7-10 minutes or until golden brown. 
  7. Drain in paper towel and serve.
