INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)
- raisins (optional)
- 2 sticks (1/2 lb) butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas (about 3 to 4 ripe bananas)
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 teaspoon baking soda
- 5 tablespoon buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
PROCEDURE
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease and flour pans
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt
- In another bowl, combine butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Mix in bananas and vanilla
- Add in flour mixture and buttermilk
- Fold in walnuts and raisins
- Bake for 35 - 40 minutes
